The merger creates the largest and most comprehensive enterprise in the field, with more than 9,000 pieces of content, hundreds of courses, state-of-the-art technology and consumer media with a monthly audience of more than 2 million individuals. The new company was formed from the merger of the media enterprise founded and developed by the Foundation for a Mindful Society, including Mindful Magazine and mindful.org, with LifeXT, a corporate-training organization. The merger of the two companies brings together the world’s pre-eminent enterprise in the mindfulness field, including products in the consumer media; courses; corporate training; licensed content; business media; events; and directories focused on meditation and mindfulness. Abundant Venture Partners, a lead  investor in the new enterprise, is led by co-founder Eric Langshur. “Now more than ever people are seeking the benefits of mindfulness – equanimity, compassion and self-actuated mental health,” Langshur said. “We see, in this merger, the opportunity to dramatically expand the availability of effective tools supported by scientific evidence. Mindful and LifeXT represent the highest standards in the field with more than 9,000 pieces of high-quality content; state-of-the-art training and technology; and a great team made up mostly of long-time practitioners of meditation and mindfulness. We intend to make these assets available to billions of people around the world in the places where they live and work.” Mindful Communications will maintain offices in Chicago and Halifax, Nova Scotia. Chicago-based Abundant Venture Partners is a purpose-based incubator focused on improving the human condition by creating companies that improve mental health, wellness and human performance.  Former Mindful CEO Bryan Welch will continue as CEO of Mindful Communications.
